Our new Little Thinkers nursery is excited to be opening its doors on Monday 20th April, and there are a limited number of funded spaces available.
The space has been specially designed for children aged between 9 months and 2 years, to create a safe, nurturing setting for them to learn and explore through play.
A thinking nursery provides bright, indoor rooms and spacious outdoor areas for children to discover and make sense of the world in the early stage of their development.

This approach centres around providing opportunities for children to think big thoughts and spark imagination, right from when they start with us.
This setting will join Curledge Street Academy and Kings Ash Academy to become the third Little Thinkers setting in our region.
Jo Mitchell, Manager of the Little Thinkers nurseries in the Thinking Schools Academy Trust’s South West region, is excited for the grand opening.
“We’re delighted to almost be ready for our official opening of Little Thinkers at Furzeham Primary School.
“I know how daunting it is to take this first step into education with your child and here at Little Thinkers, our experienced team take pride in nurturing a friendly, personable relationship with every child”.
Our nursery staff are committed to developing confident, resilient individuals, and we encourage curiosity in everything children do.
The team work closely with our families so their child feels safe and supported in their development, with constant communication and updates.
Jo spoke more about our ‘curiosity approach’ to learning and how we take pride in creating the next generation of ‘thinkers and doers’.
“What makes Little Thinkers so special is how our staff work with children to spark their natural curiosity in learning by encouraging them to play with everyday items.
“By giving them to freedom to explore and create, they learn how to have fun and enjoy themselves, in a safe, nurturing environment”.
Working families could be entitled to receive up to 30 hours of free childcare, subject to funding and availability windows. Parents and carers can click here for more information from Torbay Council.
Our team at Little Thinkers can answer any further questions you have and are encouraged to email, office@furzeham.littlethinkers.org.uk. We’d be happy to help.
If parents or carers would like to register their interest, they can submit an online registration form.
