To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware and Save A Life - see more here.
We are working in conjunction with Mental Health Support Teams for Schools: Torbay and will be providing workshops for parents and carers.
The MHST team provide opportunities of support for children and young people with emerging, mild or moderate mental health difficulties impacting on day to day life. Depending on the age of the child or young person, our interventions can be accessed by children and young people, parents and carers.
They further provide support directly to school leadership teams with the aim of identifying themes of mental health need within their school community. This collaborative, needs led analysis will aim to develop existing mental health strategies to support the whole school approach to mental health. This service aims to promote the early detection and prevention of mental health issues across the whole school, and strengthen links between schools and wider childrens services.
