Having undergone significant refurbishment last year, we can offer a specially designed space for two-year-olds to begin their educational journey.
Our nursery has seen numbers grow since opening our doors at the start of the last academic year, and we now have the capacity to welcome even more young children from the local community.
Mrs H. Sloan, Early Years Foundation Stage Lead at the school, praised the growth and development of the two-year-old setting.
“Since expanding our nursery provision, we’ve seen so many smiling children absolutely love our spacious, welcoming environment where they can learn and explore through play.
“As Easter approaches, it’s a great opportunity to get your child embedded and settled before the September rush, so why not book a trial session with us or just pop in for an informal chat”.

Parents of children currently within the two-year-old setting have spoken highly of our staff’s work and dedication to ensuring their child is safe, nurtured and can develop their confidence.
One parent said: “Our daughter joined Fledglings in January, and it’s one of our best parenting decisions to date.
“When I came to view the nursery, I was instantly impressed with the Fledglings room; it was a calm, clean environment with lots of toys and activities”.
The expansion of our nursery provision is part of our commitment to educational excellence, helping children be the very best they can be.
Mrs C. Thompson, Deputy Head Teacher here at Furzeham Primary and Nursery School, highlighted the growing success of the two-year-old setting.
“Seeing so many happy, smiling faces in our two-year-old room is so wonderful to see and the environment we’ve created allows them to develop their speech and social skills.
“If you’re local to the Brixham area and are looking for somewhere for your child to start nursery, why not book a trial session with us, or pop in to speak to our early years team?”.
Subject to funding availability windows and the eligibility criteria, working families could be entitled to 30 hours of free childcare each week. Parents and carers can find out more at gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working, or email office@furzehamprimary.org.uk for more information.
If parents would like to book a trial session or just arrange an informal chat with our nursery team, they are encouraged to get in touch via the above email address, or pop in and speak to the reception team.
