Our nursery continues to meet growing demand from local families

Our school-based nursery is thriving following recent Ofsted success, with places available for both two-year-olds and three-year-olds.

Thanks to a recent expansion, even more families can now access high-quality childcare and early years education.

Our positive Ofsted report earlier this year noted children are ‘flourishing’ with our early years curriculum being ‘highly effective’. Additional places are now available in our nursery’s Fledglings room, which caters for two-year-olds, and our Shrimps setting, which is tailored for three-year-olds.

We’re also delighted to have recently launched wraparound care in our Fledglings room, with sessions running from 7:30am to 5:30pm to provide greater flexibility for working families.

Hannah Sloan, our Early Years Foundation Lead, expressed her delight in being able to strengthen our role within the local community, where an increasing number of families can feel supported.

“The growth within our school nursery over the last year has been extraordinary and it’s wonderful to see so many children loving our Fledglings and Shrimps settings.

“We’re pleased to now be welcoming applications from more local families who are exploring early learning opportunities, so if you’re looking for a caring, nurturing environment for your child, we’d love to hear from you”.

Claire Thompson, Deputy Headteacher here at Furzeham Primary School, discussed how the success of our early years provision provides children with ‘a foundation for future learning’.

“We’re incredibly proud of the quality of care, learning opportunities and relationships we provide for children, especially with our early years provision which received such fantastic praise from Ofsted.

“Every child deserves the best start in life, and we care passionately about inspiring them to learn in an inclusive, nurturing and secure environment where they develop lifelong learning skills so they can achieve their best outcomes”.

With popularity expected to further increase over this academic year, parents and carers are encouraged to act fast to secure a place for their child. Families interested in finding out more are warmly invited to tour the setting where our friendly team can answer any questions.
